I am always happy to discuss commissions. There are several types of commissions that I consider.
Often a person sees a painting that they like, but the painting is the wrong size. I can do another version of a painting, but in a different size. Sometimes it is best to keep the same ratio of height to width, though depending on the original composition, some variations can be made. It should be noted that the new version will not be a copy of the old. Variations from the original are not only to be expected, they are to be desired so as to make a completely original work.
And it has happened that a person wants a painting that has already been sold. Again, I can do a new version of that painting.
I also will do completely original commissions. I have done urban landscapes for which the client has specified a size and certain compositional elements, as well as landscapes of particular subjects. All of this involves a conversation between the client and myself.
Of the above paintings, the ones on the left and right were new versions of existing paintings, but done in different sizes. The one in the center was done in the client's specified size, with previously agreed upon compositional elements, though most of the painting is original.
